Refund Policy
Refund & Cancellation Policy: Serenity Bengals
1. Reservation Deposits
-
Non-Refundable Status: All deposits used to reserve a specific kitten or join our waiting list are non-refundable. This deposit ensures the buyer's commitment and covers the cost of holding the kitten and removing it from the public market.
-
Transferability: At the breeder's discretion, a deposit may be transferred to a future litter if the buyer’s circumstances change before the kitten reaches 8 weeks of age.
-
Breeder Cancellation: If Serenity Bengals determines, for any reason, that a home is not a suitable fit for one of our kittens prior to pickup, or if the reserved kitten becomes unavailable due to health reasons, the deposit will be refunded in full.
2. 72-Hour Health Guarantee & Return
-
Initial Exam: Buyers are required to have their kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup or delivery.
-
Unfit for Sale: If the kitten is found to have a life-threatening illness or a chronic medical condition during this initial exam (confirmed by a written vet report), the buyer may return the kitten for a full refund of the purchase price or a replacement kitten of equal value.
-
Exclusions: This does not cover minor, treatable conditions common to kittens, such as internal parasites (worms), ear mites, or temporary stress-related colds/sneezing.
3. Genetic Health Guarantee
-
We provide a one-year (12-month) guarantee against fatal congenital or genetic defects (e.g., HCM or other hereditary conditions).
-
In the tragic event that a kitten passes away or must be euthanized due to a proven genetic defect within the first year, Serenity Bengals will provide a replacement kitten from the next available litter. No cash refunds are issued after the initial 72-hour window has passed.
4. "No-Shelter" Policy (Lifetime Return)
-
Our Commitment: We never want a Serenity Bengal to end up in a shelter or rescue. If at any point in the cat’s life you can no longer care for them, we require that you contact us first.
-
Rehoming: We will always take our cats back. However, returns made after the initial 14-day transition period for reasons such as "change of heart," "allergies," or "lifestyle changes" do not qualify for a refund.
5. Non-Refundable Costs
-
Under no circumstances will Serenity Bengals refund costs associated with:
-
Veterinary bills incurred after the kitten leaves our care.
-
Transportation or flight nanny fees.
-
Purchase of cat supplies (trees, litter, food).
